Known around the clinic as Tara Jr., or TJ for short, Tara joined the Eastern Slopes family in the fall of 2025 after earning her Veterinary Technology Diploma from Olds College.

She was raised on an acreage in the foothills, always surrounded by animals both small and large, which sparked her passion for veterinary medicine. After spending time in New Zealand working on a dairy farm and at a sea turtle rehabilitation center in the Maldives, she decided to come home and pursue that passion.

When she’s not at the clinic, Tara spends as much time outdoors as possible, enjoying wildlife, climbing, hiking, and camping in all seasons and all weather.
