Our Veterinarians
All of our large animal Doctors are excited to be working at Eastern Slopes Veterinary Services to offer in-clinic and ambulatory large animal veterinary services in Black Diamond and the surrounding areas.
BOVINE SERVICES
All regular beef cattle veterinary services including bull breeding soundness evaluations, pregnancy diagnosis, obstetrical and calving assistance, herd health inquiries, and prescription consultation. We also offer hoof care with the use of our in-clinic hydraulic tilt table. Our accredited veterinarian services include Export Certifications, AI Center entry testing, and BSE testing.
Pharmacy
We keep a variety of commonly needed bovine medications, vaccines, and supplies on hand. We are able to order medications and supplies and have them available in 1-2 business days if we don’t have what you need in stock.
Please call ahead for medication inquires and please note that all prescription products will require the creation of a prescription through discussion with a veterinarian prior to dispensing.
EQUINE SERVICES
We offer health exams, pre-purchase exams, dentistry, lameness exams, and surgeries.
Equine Dentistry
Oral and dental care is a vital part of overall equine health. Our team is equipped to offer equine dentistry to clients. Feel free to contact the clinic to discuss equine dentistry in more detail if you have questions regarding this service.
Lameness Exam
We offer complete lameness work-ups to localize and identify your horse’s lameness. This includes flexion tests, nerve blocks, and diagnostic imaging. We can then offer a range of services to help treat the lameness and improve your horse’s comfort.
Diagnostic Imaging
We are fully equipped to perform radiographs (x-rays) and ultrasound.
Surgery
We provide surgical services for procedures which can be performed with the use of sedation and short acting anesthetics. This includes laceration repair, minor surgery, and castrations including cryptorchid castration.
Routine Health and Wellness
We are happy to help you with general health inquires, vaccines, parasite control, nutrition, and other questions you may have regarding the care of your horse.
Equine Laboratory Services
Our large animal Doctors are accredited to provide Coggins testing and Export Certificates for clients who are travelling to horse shows and to the USA. Please allow 7 business days prior to the date you plan on leaving to ensure that all the laboratory testing and federal endorsement of your export certificates can be completed on time. Typically, this can all be done in fewer than 7 days, but weather or transport delays beyond our control can hamper the process.
We provide most laboratory and diagnostic testing services including bloodwork, cytology, biopsy, bronchoalveolar lavage, Coggins testing, and other diagnostics. We also offer accredited vet services for equine export certification and CEM testing.
