Good Morning! Just wanted to update on how amazing our Tara has been doing! She has recently been moved from Trauma to the Ortho ward. She has been working hard every day at the “gym”! She is mastering her new wheels and gives a high 5 the other patients as she makes passes in the hallways. Tara is improving daily. Her cousin commented on the fierce look she has of pure determination! We are all so proud! She is one special lady and is loved by so many. Again we would like to thank you all for your tremendous support, well wishes and donations .You are the best!

Merry Christmas!

This personal message from Tara is to all of you who have been keeping her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Hello friends family and all those people who are supporting us through this hurdle in our lives.
I have been thinking to myself during some quiet times, how could I ever compose anything that is going to express the gratitude that I’m feeling? How could the words “thank you” ever be enough? The way that friends family, strangers and community have rallied together to support us has left me absolutely speechless.
I sit here and examine the state of my injuries…have a look at my feet, check out the sutures and staples, attempt to bend my leg just a little further then I did last time…and I think to myself, I’m one lucky girl! I am getting top notch care from multiple departments (plastic, orthopedic, and trauma surgeons), I have the ability to think clearly (most of the time..lol), no head, spinal or internal injuries. And then I put my head back, close my eyes and think about all of the people that have done so much to support us…through thoughts, prayers, food, gifts, helping out with the kids and financially…it’s overwhelming and truly amazes me…this is usually the time when I’m brought to tears. I want each and every one of you to know how much you mean to us. To be surrounded by great people like you gives us a team that will not be defeated! From every ounce of me I thank you all a million trillion times! I envision the day when I will be back at home, having “normal” days with my family, going for coffee dates, oh man….wing nights with a cold pint and sitting in cold arenas watching my beautiful children play the game they love. Until that day….I will continue down this new path, which I am sure will have a few stumps that may trip me up. Knowing that we have all of you with us will soften the falls and make each time we get up a little bit easier. I am forever grateful.

Tara has undergone surgeries to repair a few of her injuries. The surgeries have all gone very well. She is resting and recuperating and has started a small amount of physiotherapy. Tara is in good spirits and is being her positive, cheery, funny self which is the reason we all love her so much.

Family and Doctors have still asked for no visitors at this time.

Friends and family have organized a “Bake Sale” for Tara and her family. It is being held this Saturday December 22nd 9am – 2pm at the Okotoks Recreation Center. What another great idea!! (Please see flyer attached)

Again, we are amazed at the support and well wishes we have received at the clinic and want to thank you all so much!!!!!

Tara had another surgery on Thursday which went very well. Doctors, Nurses and family are still requesting no visitors at this time so she can rest. We are so grateful that she has no spinal injuries, brain trauma or internal injuries. The enormous amount of support we have felt this week at the clinic has been truly amazing. We will continue to keep you posted on Tara’s progress.
Thank you all so much!

As most of you have heard, Tara was in a Serious Automobile Accident on Friday December 7th.
Tara is being well looked after and is in excellent hands with the Medical Team she has in Calgary.
Doctors, Nurses and Family have respectively requested no Visitors at this time.
Tara will need time to rest and to heal.

We are not surprised at the overwhelming love and support everyone has for Tara, Brad, Quinn and Cole. They are an amazing family and a huge part of our Community. Tara’s positive outlook, happy go lucky personality and truly caring nature is what makes her such an amazing woman!

To help offset expenses they during this difficult time, there has been a GoFundMe page set up to support the Cydeyko Family https://www.gofundme.com/wu6tdy-taras

As so many of you are asking what you can do to help, Eastern Slopes will be accepting donations at the Clinic for Tara and family. It could be in the way of cash, prepaid Visa cards, Fuel Cards, Grocery cards or any other donations would be gratefully accepted.

A support page for Tara, Brad and family has been set up by relatives to send well wishes, support and positive thoughts their way. It may be found by searching “Updates for Tara” on Face book.

We will be updating frequently through our Facebook Page and Website.

Now we all keep Tara, Brad, Quinn, Cole and family in our thoughts and prayers.
